Standards for truck batteries

JIS N-series (N150/N200), DIN heavy (DIN88/DIN100) and BCI Group 31 / 4D / 8D. Case sizes and terminal layouts differ between these families and are not interchangeable — confirm the standard and case with the vehicle or fleet requirement.

MOQ and lead time

A typical first order is one 20ft container. Heavy-duty batteries reach the container payload limit before the volume limit, so the practical load is confirmed per group size. Production lead time is 30–45 days, plus 3–5 weeks of ocean freight.

Why do diesel trucks need high CCA?

Large diesel engines have high compression and need a strong cranking current, especially in cold weather — often 800–1,100 A on a 12V system, plus a physically larger case.

Why do heavy trucks use 24V systems?

Doubling the voltage to 24V delivers the same cranking power at half the current, which means thinner cables and less voltage drop across a long chassis. It is usually built from two 12V batteries in series.
